"Empire" apples

This variety was developed in the United States (New York State) by crossing Red Delicious and McIntosh; the fruits are medium-sized (150–170 g). The flesh is creamy white, firm, juicy, and refreshing; the flavor is juicy, crisp, and sweet. It is a versatile variety—suitable for fruit salads, sauces, baked goods, and freezing. It stores for up to 4–5 months.
